Diving into the world of rocks – especially suitable for families with children

Family excursion

Dear Members

As part of our diverse Science Alumni events, we are delighted to invite you and your families to a special day in nature: together, we will immerse ourselves in the fascinating world of rocks in the UNESCO World Heritage site Tektonikarena Sardona.

In the morning, we will spend time along the Linth river near the Martinsheim scout house. At various activity stations, we will explore rocks, build and create, and learn more about their formation and their long journey to the Alps. After a shared lunch cooked over the fire, you are free to shape the afternoon as you wish: you may stay and enjoy the surroundings or join a guided hike to the historic Lochsite and continue towards Schwanden.

This event is especially suitable for families with children and offers exciting insights into Earth history and the formation of the Alps.
