Summer Reception in the botanical garden: The world of world of medicinal, wild, and cultivated plants
Dear Members
The traditional summer gathering of Science Alumni at the Irchel Campus will take place at a special location this year. We warmly invite you to join us for the Summer Reception 2026 in the New Botanical Garden of Zurich.
As part of a guided tour led by an expert, we will explore the world of medicinal plants, edible wild plants, useful crops, and aromatic plants used for incense. Together, we will discover plants that have shaped medicine, cuisine, and culture for centuries, and gain fascinating insights into their properties and uses. The tour will take place in all weather conditions.
Afterwards, we invite you to a light aperitif in the cafeteria of the Botanical Garden, offering a wonderful opportunity for conversation and connection in a relaxed summer atmosphere.
