Stargazing with Prof. Dr. Ben Moore - Registration is closed!

Join us for an evening of stargazing with Prof. Ben Moore on Monday, March 3, 2025, 6:30 pm, Irchel Campus
(Postponement date: Monday, March 10, 2025, 6:30 pm, Irchel Campus, as the stars are best observed in suitable weather)

We are delighted to invite you to a very special event on Monday, March 3rd, 2025, starting at 06:30 pm on Campus Irchel. Prof. Ben Moore and his team from the Department of Astrophysics will guide us through an extraordinary evening of stargazing as we take advantage of a rare planetary alignment visible in the night sky over the coming months.

Weather permitting, we will have the opportunity to observe Jupiter and its moons, the craters of our Moon, the phase of Venus, and even the Martian ice caps. This unique event offers a closer look at some of the most fascinating features of our solar system and promises to be a truly unforgettable experience.

In case of bad weather, we will notify all registered participants the day before if the event needs to be postponed. The alternative date is set for one week later, on Monday, March 10th, 2025.

Please dress warmly as the event will take place outdoors. For those who wish to extend the evening, we invite you to join us afterward for a warm drink and informal conversations.

We look forward to welcoming you for an inspiring evening under the stars!
