On the International Day of Women and Girls in Science
Free event offer for children and young people of UZH members on Feb. 9, 2023
Dear UZH Members
On February 11, 2023, UNESCO's International Day of Women and Girls in Science will be celebrated worldwide. We are already celebrating on February 9, 2023 with a program for pupils.
Participants can gain insight into the work of scientists at the Faculty of Science (MNF) of the University of Zurich from 10:00 - 17:30.
On this day, the Science Lab UZH, the Science Pavilion UZH, the National Point of Contact for Satellite Images (Institute of Geography) and the Institute of Computer Science will offer exciting workshops and guided tours for pupils.
As a conclusion of the varied day Prof. Meredith Schuman (Department of Geography and Department of Chemistry) will give a talk on "Genes in space - What can we learn from plant genes and remote sensing?".
